DGS Welcomes New Communications Manager

John Riggin

General Services is pleased to welcome our new Communications Manager, John Riggin!

John brings to DGS over 25 years of experience in marketing, advertising and public relations. In 2002, John co-founded Partner Concepts, an agency specializing in international tourism and partnership marketing.

For more than 15 years Partner Concepts delivered integrated marketing solutions for destinations around the world, including China, the British Virgin Islands, Botswana, Nicaragua, Korea, Iceland, Turin/Piedmont Region of Italy, and Ethiopia, among others, as well as partner marketing programs for Visa and MasterCard.

Prior to Partner Concepts, John founded J.K. Riggin & Associates, a team of communications specialists providing copywriting, speechwriting, digital advertising, email marketing and website development services to corporations in the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to that, John served as Investor Relations Manager for DIGEX Incorporated, an early internet service provider, through a 1996 initial public offering and 1997 acquisition.

Prior to that, John was Corporate Communications Manager for Maryland National Bank and NationsBank (now Bank of America) in Baltimore. Most recently, John explored a personal interest in teaching high school and middle school with Anne Arundel Public Schools. John holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Harvard University and lives in Severna Park.
