Sweeper Maintenance and Training

The DGS Fleet Management Division has initiated conversations with Solid Waste and DPW IT related to daily sweeper cleaning and electronic tracking of Pre/Post Trip Checks. Standing quarterly meeting, in addition to ad hoc conversations, will ensure that discussions related to time allocation for sweeper care and cleaning facilities remain a priority. Fleet Management and Solid Waste met with Zonar in February to iron out the specifics of the Memorandum of Understanding for a 3 month pilot. Discussions on performance metrics are ongoing. The pilot began in late March.
