Director joins the DGS Paint Team

On July 8th Director Steve Sharkey spent the morning painting the Benton building with the DGS paint team. This small group of dedicated public servants keep the buildings looking neat and tidy. With supervision from Jimmy Sollon, Chris Schultz, John McCoy, Rodger Fitzpatrick, Will Moore, and Eljay McBride paint office buildings, police buildings, recreation centers and more. 

Together the paint team and Director Sharkey greatly improved the appearance of the 6th floor of the Benton building. The Director helped to paint a hallway.

He said, “It was great working with this group of professionals. Their ability to work quickly with high quality is astounding.” Director Sharkey continued, “I learned a lot of tricks to make painting easier, and ways to ensure less cleanup.”
