DGS Joined Northwood Community Members to Fix-Up Baseball Fields

On Saturday, November 2, the DGS was doing what they do best, providing excellent customer service! However, it wasn't one of our usual clients. Instead of a Baltimore city government agency, we put our expertise to work at the Northwood Baseball Fields located at 1801 Argonne Drive.

DGS joined members of the Northwood community, lending our facility maintenance knowledge to assist with repairing and renovating the roof for the baseball field's concession stand and restroom facility. Members of DGS also helped with some yard work and clearing the overgrown brush behind the premises as well.

Over two dozen DGS employees volunteered their free time for the project, including DGS Director, Chichi Nyagah-Nash. Altogether, the effort took about 18 hours of work between 7 am and 4 pm on both Saturday and Sunday to complete the project. We want to thank everyone who came out and supported the initiative and volunteered their time. A special shout out also goes out to Councilwoman Mary Pat Clarke, Missy McKnight, and Northwood Baseball President, Mike Martin who were all key figures in making this effort possible.
