Current Preservation Work on The Edgar Allan Poe House

Did you know the Edgar Allan Poe House is just one of the many Baltimore City-owned #historicproperties that DGS repairs and maintains?

Edgar Allen Poe Square Sign

Today, we stopped by the Poe House, located at 203 N. Amity St, to check out the work that is being done as part of the ongoing effort to preserve the property. Current and upcoming work on the house includes: repairing and repointing the brick and chimney, installing a downspout in the rear of the house, reglazing and sealing windows, repainting the shutters, repairing the basement window lintel, and installing new front steps. Thank you to our contractors, The Durable Restoration Company, for all of their hard work on this project!
